Chattahoochee River National Recreation Areas preserve a series of sites between Atlanta and Lake Lanier along the Chattahoochee River in Georgia, U.S. The 48-mile stretch of the river affords public recreation opportunities and access to historic sites.
Many of the Chattahoochee National Recreation areas offer accessible amenities for guest with disabilities. Restroom facilities at Johnson Ferry, Powers Island, Interstate North entrance to Cochran Shoals and Paces Mill are all accessible for those with limited mobility. The picnic shelters at Johnson Ferry are also accessible. Handicap parking spaces are designated in all paved parking lots, and all entrance fee stations located in the parking lots are accessible.
