This year’s tour will introduce guests to cemetery residents who helped “put Kennesaw on the map.” While names like Lewis Street, Watts Drive, Chalker Elementary, Summers Street, Jiles Road and Adams Park are familiar, many don’t know the stories behind them. The individuals highlighted during this tour are directly connected to these well-known places, offering a chance to learn more about the people who shaped our community.
The guided, one-hour walking tour takes guests along a variety of surfaces, including dirt paths, grassy hills, asphalt, and gravel. Tours will also navigate around headstones and family plots. The final tour each day will take place after dark for an especially memorable experience.
Please note:
This event is not recommended for those with wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, or mobility/balance challenges.
For those unable to attend in person, a virtual tour is available at kennesawcemetery.org
