The Holocaust Education Symposium is an annual event, with its inauguration taking place this July 24 to 27 at the Boxwood Social Hall. Click here to register.

The symposium itself is a 3 1/2 day learning intensive professional development consisting of one full day of general sessions focused on foundational history of the Holocaust and Antisemitism followed by one full day of break-out sessions looking at more nuanced aspects of the Holocaust and Antisemitism via subject area lines (social studies, ELA, art). and a final 1/2 day to round it out and present attendees with their certificates of completion. Our speakers consist of Center directors, Holocaust survivors or their families, renowned film-makers, authors, and master teachers.

Schedule:

July 24- Opening Night Dinner Reception 6pm to 9:30 pm
July 25 – Day one of the Symposium 8am to 4pm
July 25- An Afternoon with Sami Steigmann 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm
July 26 – Day two of the Symposium 8am to 5:30pm
July 26- Private screening of The Barn 6:30 pm to 9pm
July 27- Farewll Bruch 8 am to 12 noon (only open to full symposium registrants).
