Join MCMA for a fun afternoon of playing with clay from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.! You will use cookie cutters, texture stamps, and your imagination to make adorable ornaments. Ceramics Artist, Sheila Dow will have lots of ideas and examples on hand to inspire you to create your own designs. Make as many ornaments as you want — use as keepsakes or give as gifts. This is a great activity for families or for groups of creative adults.

Your ornaments will stay at MCMA to dry and then get fired in the kiln. They will make sure they’re ready for pickup before December 16, 2022. You can decorate your fired ornaments at home with watercolors, acrylic paint, markers, or whatever other materials you want to use. (They even look nice if you leave the clay plain white!)

* Children must be accompanied by a registered adult. Please also keep the child-adult ratio of your group reasonable for the age and abilities of your young artists. Toddlers are welcome, but children ages 4+ will get the most out of this activity.

All supplies are included in the cost of the workshop.
