Gia Welch is a Memphis-based Trio that combines soulful American bluegrass, with a folky psychedelic element. The trio consists of Gia Welch – vocals and guitar, JD Westmoreland (Rumpke Mountain Boys & Devil Train) – bass and vocals and Welch released her first EP that was recorded at the world-famous Royal Studios in Memphis, TN in November of 2021. Westmoreland is a multi-instrumentalist mostly playing improvisations and eclectic compositions. This trio brings a powerful kick with sweet harmonies.
