Join the Southern Museum of Civil War & Locomotive History on Saturday, June 8 for Civil War History Day. From 9:30 AM – 5:00 PM, the Museum will have a host of living historians including a Beekeeper, Leather Stamper, Soap Maker, and Fife and Drum duo, to name a few. A Kennesaw Mountain Park Ranger will be giving a lecture of the battles that made up the Battle of Atlanta for the 160th anniversary of the battle. A variety of activities will be available for visitors to enjoy such as Civil War Music by Back to Rock, Life of a Soldier, Sewing Demonstrations, and an Artifact Showcase in the Reading Room.
