The South Cobb Arts Alliance (SCAA) is pleased to announce its National Juried Art at the Avenue exhibit featuring all types of genre, medium, style, and technique in arts held at a unique exhibit space, The Avenue West Cobb, in Marietta. This event is open to the public from July 13 – August 4, Fridays – Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m. There will be some extended hours for special activities within the event.
This year, the exhibit reception on July 20 from 5 – 7 p.m., will feature members of the Atlanta Blues Society and refreshments from SGC Chicken and Seafood and Special Blends Mobile Bartending School.
This event will celebrate 52 years of art inspiration and feature collaborative music and performing arts presentations. A children’s reading circle and book drive, children’s area, art classes, artisan market, and demonstrations by local artists are just a few of the exciting activations this event will host.
The exhibit judge, Donna Shiver, is an artist with works currently on display and exhibited in upcoming local competitions. She works as a Museum Educator and Program Coordinator at the Booth Museum in Cartersville, GA, which allows her to engage with various age groups. Shiver’s mediums include charcoal, oil, ink, watercolor, and hand-made paper processes.
