The City of Acworth is proud to say thank you to those who have faithfully served their country, as well as those who are now serving. Acworth is honored to have these brave men and women living in our community and what better way to honor them than to host a Veterans Day Ceremony on Friday, November 11 at 2:00 p.m at the Acworth Community Center.

If you have not seen the Veterans Memorial at Patriot’s Point at Cauble Park, make sure you take an opportunity to stop by. The service flags of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force and Coast Guard surround the American Flag. The concrete dome structure is surrounded by a paver walkway with engraved pavers. In addition to serving as Post Commander, he also holds many other elected positions and appointments within the VFW to include the VFW Department of Georgia District 1 Surgeon, District 1 Programs Chairperson, and District 1 Student Veterans Coordinator.
