“A Garden With Wings,” the popular pollinator exhibit at Smith-Gilbert Gardens (SGG) featuring a kid-friendly pollinator garden and butterfly house. The exhibit opens for the season on May 19, 2026. Visitors will see an inspiring collection of annuals, perennials, and flowering shrubs that attract and support native pollinators like bumblebees, hummingbirds, and butterflies. The recently expanded butterfly house offers an up-close experience with butterflies, plus the opportunity to see all stages of their life cycle. Visitors will see host plants that serve as food sources for a wide variety of caterpillars.
The Garden with Wings Butterfly Exhibit is open Tuesday through Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. To help manage crowds and ensure a positive experience, timed-entry tickets are required for all guests, including members.
Tickets are $3 per person and can be purchased online or in the Gardens Gift Shop. Entry is limited, and advance purchase is strongly encouraged. Garden admission is also required.
