This is the CCGMS annual event bringing together the public with educators from our club and professional dealers from all over the Southeast. CCGMS holds this event annually in November, the weekend prior to Thanksgiving. Admission is free! It’s three days of fun and education for the whole family. You will find amazing rocks, gemstones, minerals, and fossils from all over the world from over 30 professional dealers! Choose from a large selection of beautiful beads, jewelry and jewelry making supplies. Come and see many fascinating displays by CCGMS club members as well as demonstrations of gem and mineral polishing, faceting,  and free mineral identification classes.

One of the most popular events at the show is Geode Cracking. Here, kids and adults select from bins of geodes of different sizes and from two locations in Mexico. Then the fun begins. Use geode cracking tools to break them in half. The wonders that are found inside are amazing. And, it’s guaranteed that your geode will be hollow!

In addition, they offer inexpensive grab bags for the kids. These are filled with interesting rocks and minerals and even some fossils from all over the world. Throughout the show, once per hour, there will be drawings for door prizes. These are first class items that have been donated by dealers. There is no charge for admission. Just come on in!
